GRAND OPENING WEEKEND EVENTS:

Friday, July 15

Activities Friday evening take place at the Crescent Point Wickenheiser Centre and include:

4:00 p.m. - Beer Gardens Open

5:00 - 6:15 p.m. - Community Barbecue (silver collection donations appreciated)

There will be NO ADMISSION CHARGE to any of the Friday night events.

6: 30 p.m. - Opening Ceremonies

7:00 p.m. - Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

7:15 p.m. - Zinour - Inuit Dance

8:00 p.m. - Music by the Hunter Brothers

9:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. - Family Dance:  Music by Navajo

 

Saturday, July 16

The fun continues Saturday with activities for the entire family including:

8:00 - 11:00 a.m. - Pancake Breakfast -  at CPWC - Sponsored by Talisman Energy: (silver collection donations appreciated)

The Rock Creek Golf Club Celebrity Golf Tournament - Sponsored by Western Financial Group:  8:30 a.m. - Registration; 9:00 - Tee Off

Family Day Activities - Sponsored by Honeybee Manufacturing:  Activities Include:

Celebrity Street Hockey Tournament: at CPWC:  Registration at 9:00 a.m.     Tournament:  9:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Schedule will be posted at the rink

2:30 p.m. - Mascot Street Hockey Game - your favourite mascots will face off!

10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. - Guided tours of Crescent Point Wickenheiser Centre (every hour on the hour) - meet at the Pro Shop in the main floor lobby at least 5 minutes before the tour is to begin.

10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.:  Free Family Swimming at the Swimming Pool

10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Wellness and Leisure Fair - Upper Level of CPWC

5:30 - 9:30 p.m. - Banquet at CPWC Curling Rink  - Sponsored by Shaunavon Credit Union

Auction - Auction items include Autographed Team Canada Memorabilia, Autographed Sidney Crosby Penguins Jersey, Autographed Mark Recchi Helmet, Autographed Braydon Coburn Game Worn 2010 NHL Playoff Flyers Jersey, 2010 Vancouver Olympic Memorabilia,
