“I Love Shaunavon” - it’s not just a slogan, it’s an emotion that drives all Shaunavonites. It represents the heart our citizens show in everything they do to make Shaunavon the best it can be.
The “I Love Shaunavon” campaign was initiated by the Shaunavon Chamber of Commerce in 2004 to change people’s attitudes and improve the town’s image both here at home and around the country. By wearing the “I Love Shaunavon” logo, residents and former residents can show their community spirit and their pride in Shaunavon.
Each year “I Love Shaunavon Day” is proclaimed by the Mayor and celebrated by the citizens of our community. The event has evolved into the “I Love Shaunavon Winter Festival” with activities planned at the skating and curling rink and downtown at the Grand Coteau Centre.
The “I Love Shaunavon” campaign has also inspired the creation of Shaunavon’s mascot; Heartly, the Heart of Shaunavon; who makes appearances at events throughout the province to promote our wonderful community.
