The Shaunavon Chamber of Commerce Parade of Lights is the most anticipated holiday event of the year as it officially kicks off the holiday season. Hundreds of people gather downtown to watch the brightly lit floats wind their way through the streets as strains of Christmas music fill the air.

5:00 - 7:00 p.m.: Christ the King School hamburger, hotdog & hot chocolate sale at the Grand Coteau Centre
The prices are as follows:
Hamburger: $3.50
Cheeseburger: $4.00
Hot Dog: $2.00
Drinks (coffee or hot chocolate) $0.50
Piece of Baking: $1.00
*You can make it a meal for an extra dollar.  (adds a drink and a piece of baking to your hamburger or hot dog)

6:15 p.m.: Carolling with the Shaunavon Children's Choir in the Museum Gallery
followed by the Official Lighting of the Town Christmas Tree by Citizens of the Year Helen Fauchon & Florence Selvig.
6:15. p.m.: Parade floats gather at Christ the King Church parking lot.

6:30 p.m.: Parade Of Lights Begins at the Catholic Church and should arrive downtown by 7:00 p.m.

After the Parade: Visit with Santa & Mrs. Claus at the Grand Coteau Centre

Late Night Shopping Begins! Many of Shaunavon’s stores are open late this Thursday night and every Thursday night in December for your holiday shopping convenience. Hurry to complete your Shop Shaunavon & Win Game Cards - final draws will be made at 9:15 p.m. $1,500.00 in Chamber Cheques to be won!
