Parade of Lights

The Shaunavon Chamber of Commerce

Parade of Lights

Thursday, December 2, 2010

Parade starts at 7:00  p.m. at the Catholic Church and should arrive downtown by 7:30 p.m.

The Shaunavon Chamber of Commerce Parade of Lights is the most anticipated holiday event of the year.  Held on the first Thursday evening of December, the parade officially kicks off the holiday season. Hundreds of people gather downtown to watch the brightly lit floats wind their way through the streets as strains of Christmas music fill the air.

Following the parade is the official tree lighting at the museum, a visit from Santa Claus, as well a hot chocolate and hot dog sale.  Many of Shaunavon’s stores are open late this Thursday night and every Thursday night in December for your holiday shopping convenience.
