Chamber of Commerce Welcome Committee
Are you new to Shaunavon?
LET US WELCOME YOU!
Volunteers with the Shaunavon Chamber of Commerce Welcome Committee pay visits to new residents of Shaunavon bringing with them a wealth of information about our community as well as coupons and information from Chamber businesses.
Newcomers are invited to contact Florence at 297-2936 or Helen at 297-2444 to arrange a visit from the Welcome Committee. Residents are asked to contact Helen or Florence if you know someone new to our community or if your business would like to contribute to the Welcome Committee's package of information.
The Shaunavon Chamber of Commerce is an organization of business leaders, professionals and individuals working together, with integrity, to improve local business, build a stronger community and continuously improve business citizenship and pride within our community.

Information Sharing:
Members are kept up to date on Chamber & community events with regular email notifications and this website. The Chamber also organizes informational meetings for relevant community issues and has hosted all candidates forums for local government elections. Guest speakers are invited to most Chamber General Meetings.
Networking Opportunities:
Opportunities to network with other business people and professionals. The Chamber's annual Golf Tournament and Small Business Week Social are organized for this purpose. As well, our January and September General Meetings are set in a relaxed supper meeting format to allow time to share ideas and express concerns.
Community Promotion:
Programs such as the Chamber's Annual Citizen of the Year Award, I Love Shaunavon Day, Ag Appreciation Night, Boomtown Days Parade and Kiddies' Carnival and the Parade of Lights have been designed to show our pride in Shaunavon and its people. The Chamber also co-ordinates appearances by our town mascot; Heartly, the Heart of Shaunavon. This is our way to give back to our community and recognize the citizens of Shaunavon and area.
Shop Shaunavon Promotions:
Promotional events are designed to encourage people to "Shop Shaunavon"; Boomtown Days' Passport to Prizes; Shaunabucks; Jinglebucks; Millenium Megabucks and Money Tree Mania are examples of past successful promotions. Preference is given to promotions that encourage participation from all businesses, not just retail.

A yellow pages style listing of Chamber member businesses is published each year and distributed to area residents and tourist information locations to encourage support of our member businesses. Download our 2012 Member Directory.

Add a little "heart" to your event by inviting Heartly, the Heart of Shaunavon. Heartly has proudly represented our community at Saskatchewan Roughrider home games, Telemiracle and many local events. To arrange for an appearance by Heartly at your event, contact Joanne at 297-7383
