Vintage Railroad Motor Car Excursion

June 29, 2004 Track cars (aka Speeders or Jiggers) from the 60's 70's and 80's previously used by the Railroads in Maintenance-of-way came to town on a beautiful June morning. Now privately owned, these cars and their enthusiastic owners ride the rails all over North America. This is their second trip to Shaunavon and excursion on Great Western Rail's shortline railway in southwest Sask. Locals came down to the rail yard to check out the great collection of cars and enjoy breakfast and conversation with the Speeder operators.

Proceeds from breakfast donated toward paving of the Trans Canada Trail
