We are so proud of the effort these folks make and how wonderful it makes our town look that we decided to enter the Town of Shaunavon in the Winter Lights Celebrations   It  is a national competition encouraging municipalities, large and small, throughout Canada to celebrate light with decorative, cultural and spiritual programs, with the objective of creating attractions for tourism from within Canada and abroad.  We competed with towns of our size all across Canada.  Judging of Shaunavon's Winter Lights was done in December 2003 and the results  announced in 2004 .  Click here to see our certificate and here for Winter Lights Parade Pictures.
