Shaunavon Recreation Programs are Back!!

The following Recreation Programs will take place this fall:

Co-Ed Recreational Volleyball League

  • When: Monday evenings from 6-9pm
  • Start Date: October 18th (until the end of March)
  • Where: Shaunavon Public School Gym.
  • $75 per team (to be paid by Oct. 31) - contact Director of Wellness & Leisure to register

*If you would like to play and do not have a team contact the Wellness & Leisure Office and your name will be passed along to teams that are short

Pickleball League

  • When: Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm
  • Start Date: Oct. 12th
  • Where: Shaunavon Public School Gym
  • Ages: 16+ years
  • Cost: FREE

Walking Program

  • When: every Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from 9-11am
  • Start Date: October 12th (until the end of April)
  • Where: CPWC Lobby & Bleachers
  • Cost: FREE

*Holidays may affect some dates of these activities

PLEASE NOTE:

According to the Public Health Order, face masks are required in all indoor public places, this includes inside the facilities of the recreation activity, on the bench during the sport or activity, and while participating in the sport or activity.

Although, the Public Health Order indicates that face coverings are not required for:

  • Individuals under the age of 18 years while participating in athletic or sports activities, for the duration of the sport or activity only.

Restrictions and mask mandates are subject to change, please check back for updates.

On Tuesday May 28th and Wednesday May 29th Public Works will be doing routine hydrant flushing in Shaunavon. Shaunavon’s fire hydrants are connected to the potable drinking water system, where hydrant flushing is performed twice a year to remove any settled sediment, contributing to the Town of Shaunavon’s Water Quality Improvement Strategy.

The Town of Shaunavon initiated its Gate Valve Replacement Program in 2023 to replace problematic gate valves in select areas. The 2024 Gate Valve Replacement Program will be commencing on SUNDAY MAY 26TH in the following area: CENTRE STREET from 3rd Avenue to 5th Avenue

Shaunavon’s 2024 MARKET AT THE MUSEUM will be starting on Saturday, July 6 and will run every Saturday from 9:30 am to Noon until September 14 on the front lawn of the Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Centre, 440 Centre Street. We would like to make the public aware that Associate Appraisers from Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency (SAMA) will be in Shaunavon periodically between May 1 to October 31 2024, to perform their reinspection program. Please note they will be present on Tuesday May 14th and Thursday May 16th in Shaunavon. The appraisers will be travelling in a marked SAMA vehicle and will have a SAMA ID on at all times.
