BOOMTOWN CHRISTMAS!

The Shaunavon Chamber of Commerce presents: Boomtown Christmas! A day full of Christmas fun for the whole family!

Mark your Calendars for Saturday, December 4th, 2021. See the list of events below! You won’t want to miss it!

  • 12:00PM - Horse drawn wagon rides!
  • 2:00-4:00PM - “Santa” will be popping in to participating Chamber businesses randomly to help build the Christmas spirit by passing out treats!
  • 6:00 PM - Chamber Business BINGO at the Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Centre front lawn
  • 6:30 PM - Tree Lighting at Grand Coteau with a performance from the Stayin’ Alive - Not Expired - Choir and the Shaunavon Public School Choir!
  • 7:00 PM - PARADE OF LIGHTS
  • 7:30-8:30 PM - Hot chocolate, bonfire, acoustic music performance and opportunity for kids to meet and be photographed with Santa at the Jubilee Park recreation area.
  • 8:30 PM - Fireworks
  • 9:00 PM - TO ALL A GOODNIGHT

The Town of Shaunavon is pleased to welcome Blaze Larson as our new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in Training! Originally from Shaunavon, Blaze brings valuable knowledge of our community, along with a strong background in finance from his time at RBC and pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a Major in Management.

The Town of Shaunavon, alongside the RMs of Arlington, Grassy Creek, and Bone Creek, is pleased to announce that the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has approved the implementation of Point of Care Testing (POCT) equipment at the Shaunavon Hospital. Our Councils have been actively working with SHA to address service disruptions in Shaunavon’s Emergency Department caused by temporary lab staff shortages.

The Grand Coteau Heritage & Cultural Centre is seeking two full-time summer students for the positions of Program Assistant and Museum Assistant for the period of May 5 to August 22, 2025 (Can be adjusted to accommodate student availability) Program Assistant duties include: planning, promotion and delivery of summer programs for youth and adults and community events; assisting with planning and delivering school programs; responsibility for summer tourism initiatives.
