Shaunavon boasts beautiful parks, greenspaces and facilities for residents and travelers to enjoy throughout the year! We are looking for volunteers to help us clean up our community green spaces to showcase how beautiful Shaunavon is as the weather warms up. This includes the parks, walking trails, campgrounds and any other Town spaces that my need it!
The Shaunavon 50-50 Sidewalk Program was created to help promote pedestrian safety and infrastructure renewal in the Town of Shaunavon, by providing property owners with assistance in paying for the half the costs of replacing deteriorated sidewalks.
The Town of Shaunavon will cover the entire cost of the replacement when the work represents less than 25% of frontage of the property. Work greater than 25% of the frontage of the property will be done at a cost share of 50 – 50 with the property owner. Under the program, property owners have the option to pay back their 50% in full upon completion or receive an interest free loan for 3 years.
This program is 1st come 1st served, with limited funds available. If you notice your sidewalk is deteriorated and want to replace it this year, apply soon to avoid disappointment!
The Town of Shaunavon has also budgeted $10,000 to replace sidewalks that were identified as a safety concern to improve safety in the community!
