Interim Mayor Travis Nelson signed a municipal proclamation declaring September 20 to October 13 as Culture Days | Fête de la culture in the Town of Shaunavon. Culture Days is a national celebration highlighting the importance of arts and culture in our communities. Shaunavon’s Culture Days Event Hub partners the Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Centre and Shaunavon Library have many Culture Days activities planned for you to enjoy!
The Shaunavon Shadows 9-man football team has enjoyed a successful season, earning the right to play in the Provincial Final this Saturday November 11th in Lumsden! This past Saturday, the Shadows beat out the defending provincial champions, the Melfort Comets, in the Provincial semifinal game, sending them to the provincial final. The team includes players from Shaunavon, Eastend and Frontier, and is coached by teachers and community volunteers. “Congratulations to this year’s Shaunavon Shadows!! These boys have been a lot of fun to watch throughout the years. This is a very dedicated group of coaches and players alike. Congratulations again Shadows, Shaunavon and the whole Southwest is cheering you on. GO SHADOWS!!!!!”

SHADOWS SEND OFF There will be a send off for the Shadows Football Team on Friday, November 10, 2023 starting at 3:30pm. The bus will leave the school parking lot at 3:30pm travelling east on 7th Ave. towards the Police Station, turning south down Center Street, then turning west on 3rd Ave to Highway 37 where they will head north towards their destination. Feel free to line the sidewalks in your Blue and White to wish them luck at their Provincial game!
