We’re so excited to announce our DRIVE-IN MOVIE on Thursday October 10th 2024!! Based on our voting poll, the movie that will be showing is THE GOONIES (1985): A group of young misfits called The Goonies discover an ancient map and set out on an adventure to find a legendary pirate’s long-lost treasure.
Interim Mayor Travis Nelson signed a municipal proclamation declaring September 20 to October 13 as Culture Days | Fête de la culture in the Town of Shaunavon. Culture Days is a national celebration highlighting the importance of arts and culture in our communities.
Shaunavon’s Culture Days Event Hub partners the Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Centre and Shaunavon Library have many Culture Days activities planned for you to enjoy! Festivities will be kicking off with the 3RD ANNUAL MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL THIS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22nd at the Crescent Point Wickenheiser Curling Rink. This Festival will take you on an exciting cultural tour; all in one location, all in the same day:
- Doors open at 12:30 - food samples served starting at 1:00 p.m.
- Traditional Food Samples from around the World
- Lively performances and Traditional Dances
- Cultural Activities
- Exploring CQ Photo Exhibition & Book Launch
