Sunshine and warmer weather has us thinking of SPRING!

You know what that means? The Town of Shaunavon’s annual FREE GARBAGE TRANSFER WEEKEND for Shaunavon residents is coming up! Mark your calendars for May 23, 24, 25th and save some trips to the landfill during your spring cleanup and dispose of items for FREE!

(alternative date in case of poor weather: May 30-June 1)

! NEW LOCATION THIS YEAR ! The Garbage Transfer station will be located in the open field near the Compost Pile on 6th Avenue East (east of Shaunavon Hospital). A map of entrance & exit points will be posted closer to the date! MORE EXCITING DETAILS COMING SOON (Please note: The Free Garbage Transfer program is offered for SHAUNAVON residents only. Thank you!)

To set up your account, CLICK HERE NOTICE: The Water Tower fill station is currently down due to a necessary control box upgrade. We’ll keep you posted when it’s back online.

Originally from Shaunavon, Blaze brings valuable knowledge of our community, along with a strong background in finance from his time at RBC and pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a Major in Management.

The Town of Shaunavon, alongside the RMs of Arlington, Grassy Creek, and Bone Creek, is pleased to announce that the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has approved the implementation of Point of Care Testing (POCT) equipment at the Shaunavon Hospital. Our Councils have been actively working with SHA to address service disruptions in Shaunavon’s Emergency Department caused by temporary lab staff shortages.

The Grand Coteau Heritage & Cultural Centre is seeking two full-time summer students for the positions of Program Assistant and Museum Assistant for the period of May 5 to August 22, 2025 (Can be adjusted to accommodate student availability) Program Assistant duties include: planning, promotion and delivery of summer programs for youth and adults and community events; assisting with planning and delivering school programs; responsibility for summer tourism initiatives.
