A faulty gate valve identified and now requires replacement, the Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory issued on September 15 remains in effect for the affected areas:
100, 200, & 300 Blocks of 5th Street East including the Covered Wagon Trailer Court
200 and 300 Blocks of 4th Street East
300, 400, 500 & 600 Blocks of 3rd Ave. East
500 Block of 1st Ave. East including the 4 Seasons Trailer Court.
The faulty valve will be replaced on MONDAY SEPTEMBER 29th , during which water services will be temporarily disrupted .
UPDATE FOR Gate Valve replacements on 100 Block of Centre Street: Gate Valve replacements have been rescheduled and will be on Tuesday Sept 30th. Water services will be disrupted and turned off intermittently on Tuesday Sept 30th while the replacements are underway for the affected areas.
The Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory (PDWA) issued by the Water Security Agency will remain in effect until water test results confirm the supply is safe for consumption. If all goes as planned, water samples are expected to be sent for testing on Wednesday Oct 1 , with results anticipated by the end of the week or early the following week . Please note that timelines may shift depending on how the replacement work progresses.
