Boomtown Christmas was chilly, but wow, did our town ever shine! A heartfelt thank-you to the Shaunavon Chamber of Commerce for organizing another magical festive event, and to every business,...
"The Eastend Kinettes are hosting a Wild West New Year's Eve party at the Eastend Community Hall on Dec. 31.
This adults-only event will feature music by Mahoney and is being held to raise funds for the 50th anniversary celebration of Dino Days.
Cleo Gordon, Treasurer and eight-year member of the Eastend Kinettes, explained that the goal of the fundraiser is to make the 2026 Dino Days celebration extra special.
"We want to put on an exceptional celebration, and a portion of the funds raised will go towards fireworks, which we have every year, but the cost keeps increasing. We also want to cover any other expenses that may arise during the weekend."
Tickets for the event are $40 in advance and will feature a variety of activities, including a raffle, a bar and a midnight lunch, all centred around a Wild West theme.
"Last year was the first New Year's Eve dance in Eastend in quite some time, so we're excited to revive this tradition,” Cleo said.
“The Wild West theme will be a lot of fun for everyone, and many people in the area will be able to easily find costumes to fit the theme."
While the Eastend Kinettes expect tickets to sell quickly, there may be some available at the door for $45. To purchase tickets, contact Sam Taylor at 1-306-267-7182 or message the Eastend Kinettes on Facebook. "
