The Town of Shaunavon’s Economic Development Committee (EDC), is excited to announce that we will be partnering with the Shaunavon Chamber of Commerce , and we are proud to announce the introduction of EVOLVE, a new invitation to an initiative designed to engage community members and businesses in meaningful opportunities that benefit the whole community.

EVOLVE is rooted in the belief that personal interests, talents, and professional skills already exist within our community. By creating intentional opportunities to connect, share knowledge, collaborate and innovate, EVOLVE aims to strengthen Shaunavon’s business environment while encouraging individual growth and community participation.

“This initiative is about bringing people together: business owners, employees, and community members, to learn from one another, share expertise, and build connections that support long-term economic vitality.” said Mary Scott, Economic Development Officer.

Projected Goals of EVOLVE Include:

  • Professional skills development set through shared learning and outreach opportunities.

  • Stimulating the local business community by encouraging innovation and engagement.

  • Developing collaboration and cooperation across sectors and organizations.

  • Improving communication between businesses, community members, and support organizations.

  • Increasing opportunities for business expansion through networking and shared resources.

  • Positioning Shaunavon as a trusted authority on business information and local economic opportunities.

To kick off the program, the first EVOLVE event is pleased to welcome Brad Mahon, President of Great Plains College and #1 Amazon International Best-Selling Author, to present Leadership Is Personal. This inaugural session will explore how leadership, culture, and community directly influence success and organizational growth.

While final event details are still being confirmed, community members and businesses are encouraged to mark their calendars and register early.
