Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) RECAP:
Thanks to your sorting efforts, we safely captured and containerized 102 kg of hazardous materials to keep them out of our environment! Here is what was collected based on actual scale weights:
41 kg of Aerosols
28 kg of Pesticides and Toxics
21 kg of Fuel Cylinders / Propane
7 kg of Flammable Liquids
5 kg of Corrosives (Acids)
A huge thank you is extended to Town staff and landfill staff for working over the weekend, to Helix for supplying and hauling the bins. And shoutout to ProductCare Recycling for helping us organize the HHW event and Protex Environmental for coming out and running the HHW booth.
