Congratulations to Shaunavon Hospital & Care Centre!

Yesterday, during Long Term Care's incredible Annual 60 year tradition Strawberry Tea, the community officially cut the ribbon on a brand-new Snoezelen (Sensory) Room for Long-Term Care residents!

This amazing project started back in 2022 thanks to the vision of local staff and community members: Ashley Macdonald, Rhonda Johnston, Darren Johnston, Dean Bahnuick, and Pam Bahnuick. With the incredible backing of the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation and our generous community, over $30,000 was raised across two major fundraisers and subsequent efforts, to make this dream a reality.

The space features specialized lighting, relaxing spaces, tactile elements, and interactive gaming systems designed specifically to support senior memory, engagement, and comfort.

Congratulations again, the Town of Shaunavon is incredibly proud of your hard work and dedication to enhancing the lives of our long-term care residents!
