The Canada Border Services Agency has released an announcement regarding the ports of entry: “The Honourable Marco Mendicino, Minister of Public Safety, announced that as of 12:01 am (ET), March 31, 2023, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is reinstating pre-pandemic operational hours of service at 39 land and three air ports of entry (POE).

Age Friendly Shaunavon is pleased to introduce our new Senior Community Resource Coordinator, Vanessa Cruthers. She will be creating a resource booklet for seniors with all the important phone numbers and information that they may require, while living in their own home. Our long-term goal is to assist seniors in finding all the help they may need to live in their own home as long as they wish to.
The Town of Shaunavon has released the 2023 Budget Announcement: The 2023 consolidated operating and capital budget was adopted by Shaunavon Council members at the regular Council Meeting on March 21, 2023. The budget was approved with an operating budget of $4,992,724 and $2,433,327 in capital expenditures, with a net property tax levy requirement of $2,163,209.

*please read full post for full details* The Town of Shaunavon Public Works staff are busy working hard to clear snow in town since this last heavy snowfall. The staff follow a list of locations in priority sequence in the event that a HEAVY snowfall occurs where it limits mobility. These locations prioritize emergency routes and high traffic areas, then progress to side streets:
Mondays from 6PM - 8PM at the Shaunavon Public School Gym. This program will begin Monday March 20th and will run until the end of April. This is a FREE drop-in league for Ages 16+. Please bring your own racquet if possible (extra racquets will be available if required). If you have any questions, please contact the Wellness & Leisure Office at recreation.
