Braydon Coburn Hockey School just announced that their 2023 registrations are now OPEN! Our community is excited to have Braydon Coburn Hockey School (BCHS) back in Shaunavon from July 17th to 21st 2023 at the CPWC. The school is open to boys and girls and will be led by Shaunavon’s own, Braydon Coburn.

FREE GARBAGE TRANSFER WEEKEND Over the weekend of May 26th , 27th and 28th from 8am-5pm, the Town of Shaunavon will have bins for a free garbage disposal in the empty lot EAST of The Bear’s Den (554 5th St W). There will be labelled bins designated for the disposal of these materials:
The Shaunavon 50-50 Sidewalk Program was created to help promote pedestrian safety and infrastructure renewal in the Town of Shaunavon, by providing property owners with assistance in paying for the half the costs of replacing deteriorated sidewalks. The Town of Shaunavon will cover the entire cost of the replacement when the work represents less than 25% of frontage of the property.
The Screening Program for Breast Cancer’s mobile bus will be parked in Shaunavon on April 3 – 14, 2023 in the parking lot of the Shaunavon Elk’s Hall. Women 50 years of age or older that are not experiencing any breast health concerns or symptoms are welcome to book a screening mammogram.
Provincial regulations prohibit pruning of elm trees from April 1 to August 31 each year. Elm bark beetles are most active during that time, where fresh cuts attract them, leading to an increased chance of infection. Dutch elm disease (DED) is caused by a fungus spread by tiny elm bark beetles that breed under the bark of dead or dying elm wood.
