STARS Air Ambulance (Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society) is celebrating 10 years of operation in Saskatchewan! STARS launched its first Saskatchewan base in Regina on April 30, 2012, with a second Sask base launching in Saskatoon soon after. Expanding this air ambulance service to operate in Saskatchewan was crucial to saving lives in ALL areas of the province, urban municipalities and rural municipalities alike.

Shaunavon’s Mayor, Councillors and Chief Administrative Officer were joined by Minister Everett Hindley and MLA Doug Steele on Friday September 23rd to tour the Shaunavon Union Hospital and discuss Saskatchewan’s new 4-point plan to recruit and retain healthcare workers. “Thank you for meeting with us and listening to our concerns we look forward to working with you to keep our facilities running smoothly and keeping our residents safe.
