The Town of Shaunavon is continually investing in our town’s infrastructure, including doing upgrades to our water distribution system. The Town of Shaunavon initiated its Gate Valve Replacement Program in 2023 to replace problematic gate valves in select areas. The 2024 Gate Valve Replacement Program will be commencing on SUNDAY MAY 26TH in the following area: CENTRE STREET from 3rd Avenue to 5th Avenue
Note that water will be turned OFF all day on Sunday May 26th.
**IMPORTANT NOTE: A Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory will be in place for the affected area from the time of the replacement May 26) and will be lifted once test results are returned from the lab and the advisory is lifted by the Water Security Agency (Approx. 1 week). All affected users will be notified of the advisory in place and will be updated when the Precautionary Advisory been lifted. **
Note that the replacement is occurring on a Sunday to cause as little disruption to the business district as possible. We thank the businesses for their understanding and we apologize for any inconveniences.
