QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Canadian Citizen or Canadian Permanent Resident. Permanent Resident ‐ Starting from the date you received permanent resident status ‐ must have resided (been physically present) in Canada for 3 (1,095 days) out of the last 5 years as a permanent resident.
Be at least 18 years old
Proficient in English and/or French
Valid, unrestricted driver’s licence
High school diploma (Canadian) or equivalent
Meet health & psychological standards
Meet requirements before applying for vision, hearing & physical abilities
Willing to relocate

You will receive an allowance during your 26‐week training.
Cadet recruitment allowance is $525/week.

6 months service: $85,461
12 months service: $92,722
24 months service: $99,988
36 months service: $106,576
25 years service: full pension
Pension plan 20 years service: retirement with penalty
25 years service: full pension
35 years service: maximum pension
