QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Canadian Citizen or Canadian Permanent Resident. Permanent Resident ‐ Starting from the date you received permanent resident status ‐ must have resided (been physically present) in Canada for 3 (1,095 days) out of the last 5 years as a permanent resident.

• Be at least 18 years old

• Proficient in English and/or French

• Valid, unrestricted driver’s licence

• High school diploma (Canadian) or equivalent

• Meet health & psychological standards

• Meet requirements before applying for vision, hearing & physical abilities

• Willing to relocate

KEY FACTS:

• You will receive an allowance during your 26‐week training.

• Cadet recruitment allowance is $525/week.

• The RCMP also covers your room and board, uniform, training courses

SALARY & BENEFITS

• Salary Entry: $65,776

• 6 months service: $85,461

• 12 months service: $92,722

• 24 months service: $99,988

• 36 months service: $106,576

• 25 years service: full pension

• Pension plan 20 years service: retirement with penalty

• 25 years service: full pension

• 35 years service: maximum pension
