Summer Program Coordinator 2026
Nature and Scope: May through August the Summer Coordinator plans and implements summer sport, culture and recreation programs for the youth of the community as well as assists with other recreation activities as required. The position will be responsible to the Director of Wellness and Leisure. Individual should be prepared to work irregular hours. ]
**Duties with the Wellness and Leisure Committee & the Town of Shaunavon include: **
Planning, developing and implementation of the Summer Active 2026 Program.Tasks to include, but not restricted to providing supervision, leadership and administration for the provision of leisure activities/programs in the community of Shaunavon.
Work with youth ages 3 – 18 years to fulfill leisure needs of these youth during the summer months.
Develop partnerships with local organizations for the planning and delivery of summer programs.
Prepare a final report and evaluation of the Summer Active 2026 program for presentation to the Wellness & Leisure Committee.
Final report will include list of inventory for next year’s Summer Active Program.
Assist with other day-to-day recreation tasks as directed by the Director of Wellness & Leisure.
