NOTICE OF CALL FOR NOMINATIONS - MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS

Physical Nomination packages may be obtained at:
Shaunavon Town Office, 401 – Third Street West
Nominations will be received by the undersigned during regular business hours (weekdays, 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.) from the 16th day of September 2024 through the 9th day of October, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- In person at the Town Office, 401 Third Street West in Shaunavon; or
- via e-mail to shaunavon3@sasktel.net; or
- via regular mail to: Town of Shaunavon, Returning Officer David Hutten, Box 820, Shaunavon, SK, S0N 2M0; or
- via Facsimile addressed to the Returning Officer David Hutten to (306) 297-2608
Please confirm by telephone to (306) 297-2605 if submitting nominations in any manner other than personal service. Any nominations received incomplete or after 4:00 p.m., Wednesday October 9th will not be accepted.
Guides for Members of Council
Eligibility & Candidate Guides
Municipal candidates must be:
- 18 years of age on election day;
- a Canadian citizen;
- eligible to be nominated as provided for in The Local Government Election Act;
- a resident of Saskatchewan for at least 6 consecutive months prior to submitting the nomination paper;
- a resident of Shaunavon, or own land now in the municipality, for at least 3 consecutive months prior to submitting the nomination paper.
