ParticipACTION 2025

ParticipACTION 2025 ParticipACTION 2025 ParticipACTION 2025

Let’s rally together and move our way to $100,000! Shaunavon is stepping onto the national stage in this year’s Participaction Community Challenge, presented by Novo Nordisk. The challenge runs throughout June and aims to crown Canada’s Most Active Community — with a grand prize of $100,000 to support local physical activity and sport initiatives.

The best part? Every move counts. Whether it’s a walk around the block, a workout class, yard work, or a game of ball — your activity helps Shaunavon climb the leaderboard. How to Get Involved: Shaunavon is registered as a participating organization, so there’s no need to sign up individually! Instead: If you’re part of a local sports league, walking club, workout group, or fitness program — your leader or organizer can contact Alexis Hunt, Director of Wellness & Leisure NOW at recreation.shaunavon@sasktel.net to get a copy of the spreadsheet to track participant numbers and activity time!

Whether it’s pickleball, spring league basketball, badminton, or your own group fitness initiative — every active minute contributes to our community’s total. Plus, we’ll be hosting special Shaunavon events as part of the challenge (registration information to come!):

For any questions or to report your group’s participation, contact Alexis at the W&L Office by phoning (306) 297-3029 or emailing recreation.shaunavon@sasktel.net. Let’s move, track, and win — together. About the ParticipACTION Community Challenge: This nationwide initiative encourages Canadians to get active throughout June. The most active community will receive $100,000 to support local movement initiatives, with additional prizing for provinces and participating organizations. #LetsMove #Participaction #CommunityChallenge
