Cross Country Ski Trail

Cross Country Ski Trail

Shaunavon Wellness & Leisure has purchased a Cross Country Ski Trail Groomer for cross country skiers to utilize in the winter months.

A compacted trail surface with set tracks will help skis to glide forward so that skiing is easier, beginners can learn to ski under control more quickly, and skiers can go further more efficiently!

Cross country skiers are already out enjoying the new groomed trail!

An additional section of cross country ski trail has been groomed for skiers to enjoy an expanded trail covering just about 5km! Click HERE for a full image of the trail.

The large trail goes on the North side of the CPWC, around the Shaunavon Shadows football field, heads West on the TransCanada Trail, South on the TransCanada Trail, across to and around Avondale Park, then finishes by circling ball diamonds 1 & 2.

Thank you to Rod Crockett and Ian Morstad for grooming the trail.

Braydon Coburn Outdoor Rink OPEN

Braydon Coburn Outdoor Rink OPEN

The Braydon Coburn Outdoor Rink is OPEN for the season!!

Please be safe while you utilize the ice surface, helmets are recommended for youth aged 18 and under.

We would like to give a big shout out to the Shaunavon and District Fire and Rescue for volunteering their time to flood the rink! Also thank you to the Town Staff and volunteers who maintain the outdoor rink throughout the season. Without all these individuals putting their time in, the outdoor rink would not be ready!

Be safe and have FUN!
